The Netherlands is not the best country for outdoor adventure sports, however, for canoeists, like us, there is enough water. The ‘Biesbosch’ is what our country used to look like a few hundred years ago. We made a two day trip through the area and camped almost in the water. Leica M240 with 28 Elmarit

Tuesday Travel: hey you!
Yes, Anton Corbijn, the photographer that made our nation pride (or at least the people that know him) had an exposition in my home town The Hague. Of course I had to go. Clint Eastwood is still shouting ‘hey you’, after many, many years. Leica M8 with Zeiss 35/2.8

Tuesday Travel: Somewhere in Rotterdam
Sometimes you don’t need to travel that far to see new things. Leica M240 with CV 40/1.4
Tuesday Travel: Pedro
This is Pedro from Puerto Natales in Chile. He has a tiny shop where he sells two gas canisters (no, not two types, just two canisters) a few second hand bike parts and three post cards. We had a nice conversation and talked about tourism in his village. Then he pointed at the wall behind […]
Tuesday Travel: colors down under
I’m not sure where I took this shot exactly – that’s why a GPS module can be convenient – but it was somewhere in a mall in Sydney. I like the perspective and the colors. Leica M9 with 35 summicron

It also features the grave of a well know person: Evita Peron. Although she’s been ‘on the move’ quite a bit, long after she died, she has finally found peace […]
Tuesday travel: the old man and the sea
Except there’s a young woman, instead of an old man. Still, I like the contemplating setting of this shot. My wife and I were on a short hike in Sydney, when we reached the sea. It had been a long time since we’d seen such a vast amount of water and we just stared for […]
Tuesday Travel: cold day bicycle ride
My wife and I like to ride our bicycles. Not just at home, but also in other paces where to go to by car. We just take out the wheels, and squeeze them in our car. The Leica M is small enough to take, even on a bike. Leica M8 with 35 summicron V2 Want […]
Tuesday Travel: Layering
One of the things I use a lot in my wedding pictures is the technique of layering. Sometimes that means I pick a subject in the foreground which I use to create a 3D like effect. Even with a relatively slow lens like the 35 summicron, there is still enough room to render objects in […]
